For years, Thomas Cox worked as an apprentice for a well known tile shop. The owner encouraged Mr. Cox to start a new company, knowing that he had the determination and drive to make any company successful. In 1968, Thomas Cox founded Memphis Tile and Marble Company, Inc.
over 55 years, we have been serving Memphis, Tennessee and surrounding areas. In 2008, Thomas Cox was named Tile Person of the Year by the National Tile Contractors Association.
For over 22 years, Thomas’ son Richard has been involved in all aspects of the family business. In January 2013, Richard Cox took full ownership of Memphis Tile and Marble Co., Inc. and continues to provide the high quality service our customers have come to expect.
